• On average a class set of books costs 600 and
  lasts
• 5 years.
• A laptop is going to cost 850 with textbook
  software
• Installed.
• This price can be reduced with partnership and
  quantity bought
• from a company.
• The laptops come with a 3 year warranty.

Student achievement is our main priority

• Teaching and learning in the 21st Century has
  been changed
• Forever with the addition of technology.
• Students today are surrounded by technology with
  the use of
• Cell phones, PDAs, video games, and their own
  computer.
• This technology is making it more challenging to
  engage
• Students in the classroom.
• Laptops provide that interactive edge to engage
• And hook students in
  the learning process.

Has this been done before?

• In 2006 about 600 school districts nationwide had
  pilot programs to provide laptops for each
  student.
• This figure has likely doubled since then, said
  Mark Schneiderman, director of federal education
  policy.
• Empire High School in AZ., is one of many schools
  that have made the switch to relying solely on
  laptops and digital material to teach students.
