The NdFeB magnet sphere should be positioned so
that it is in the enter of the coil of magnet
wire. The wooded dowels are used to keep it in
the center. There should be just enough play in
the tube so the ball can move a little once the
dowels and end caps are installed. Each end
of the coil is connected to two LEDs that are
connected so that the anode of one LED is
connected to the cathode of the other and visa
versa. When connected in this fashion the
positive portion the AC wave form will fire one
LED and the negative portion will fire the other
LED. This creates a flashing of one LED then the
next.
