The police in Stoke are on target for assault but
not for car theft, whereas in Trent Valley the
police are on target for car theft but not
assault, there could be many reasons for this but
the main possible one is there are not as many
assaults situations reported in Trent Valley as
there are in Stoke but vice a viser when it comes
to car theft.

Crime, Which is more important Big or Small?
In the big cities, like London, New York,
Baghdad, Tehran, Washington and many others there
is always a huge risk of terrorism. Airports,
train stations, huge building filled with people,
shopping malls, there is always a risk. Ahhh .
But in Stoke no, no, no. Its small things, like
theft, drugs, car theft, vandalism, speeding and
others like that. Terrorism is probably the
lowest priority on the polices list in Stoke,
whereas in London everyday the police have to
recheck, adjust the anti-terrorist force and how
they are going to handle a terrorist situation,
is there a warning message a time to stop what's
happening, or BAM! Something happened and they
have to react immediately to stop panic spreading
and to control the situation. Now in Stoke the
police are probably answering phone calls about
vandalism and a cat stuck up a tree, or a report
from Tesco, that somethings been stolen or
someone's house has been robbed. The police in
Stoke have been doing very well, as in the past
year they have reduced the number of attempted
and successful burglaries and car thefts each day
massively and also have increased through
campagins and ads increased the number of
crimes.

Conculsion
Well, it seems as that, crime is a big part of
Stoke-on-Trent but it is gradually being cut down
and more situations are being resolved and sorted
out. Many causes of crime are, jealously, hate,
anger, drunkenness, being high and being
depressed. The way to sort many of these out is
to create places were people who have some of
these problems, can come and talk about them and
also the council should invest time and money to
create these places and to make Stoke a more
sociable place to live in and that these problems
should be reduced be stricter laws on alcohol and
more crackdowns on drug dealers and people who
cause most of these problems. Crime also can be
the only way someone could survive like a tramp
could survive be stealing things if people refuse
to help him, now which is worse stealing or
letting a possibly innocent man die which could
be looked at as murder. Crime also provides jobs
as to stop crime, policemen are needed, and
people can get jobs as police. So because of
crime there is actually less, because the police
officers might have become criminals if there
were no jobs to stay alive.
