Evaluation/assessment of eGovernment projects is
essential at EU level to provide valuable
input for effective dissemination and exchange of
good practices a corner stone of the
eEurope initiative (An Information Society for
all). endorsed by the 15 (25) Member
States.

THE EU FRAMEWORK -NEW GOVERNANCE APPROACH
- A new and open method of co-ordination based on
the benchmarking of national initiatives to reach
the targets set out in the action plan - Voluntary measures at EU Member States level
- Each MS has agreed principle to global and
specific objectives and to participate in common
review and evaluation/assessment activities - Objectives in form of qualitative and
quantitative targets - Community instruments may support development
