Coil Binding

• In this presentation you will learn how to create
  a booklet, using the coil binding method.

Coil Binding

• Use coil binding machine
• Relatively inexpensive
• Can replace pages/covers easily
• Pages tear out easily

Step One

• Lay paper on bottom of machine
• Align them up with the black rectangles
• Pull out desired amount of pins, that you dont
  want to punch holes
• Then pull lever towards you, to punch the holes
• Make sure you do a test page first, to ensure
  your page is the way you want it

Step Two

• Place coil in between metal dividers (with coil
  teeth pointing upwards)
• Push coil down into fingers
• Slowly push lever away from you, until coil is
  opened
• Then place the paper onto the coil teeth

Step Three

• Pull lever back to upwards position, to close
  teeth
• Gently pull coil out of fingers

Finished Product

• If you follow all the steps properly, your
  booklet should look like this.
