What is it?
It organizes the elements into groups(families)
and periods. It tells us about mass and
protons. It shows us which elements bond with
others.

Atomic Number The number of protons in the
nucleus.

Symbol One or two letter abbreviation for the
element.
Name The complete element Name.
Atomic Mass The average mass Of an atom of that
element (amu).

Periods Go left to right (rows). They show a
