Initial Concept

• Based on Cube the 1997 horror movie.
• Aim is to navigate through a series of
  interconnected rooms without being killed.
• Room interconnections respond to player movement.

Concept Development

• Initial world too hard to navigate!
• Simplified room layout
• Player provided with a map
• Rooms become locked/unlocked based on simple rules

World Structure

• World generated randomly at run-time
• Extensive use of PROTOs

The Rules

• If 2 or 3 adjacent rooms are active, the room is
  unlocked
• Otherwise the room is locked
• The room that the player is leaving gets two
  links subtracted from the count
• The next room but one in the direction that the
  player is heading gets one extra link
