- Kingdom
- John 1836-37 Jesus said, "My kingdom is not of
this world. If it were, my servants would fight
to prevent my arrest by the Jews. But now my
kingdom is from another place." 37 "You are a
king, then!" said Pilate. Jesus answered, "You
are right in saying I am a king. In fact, for
this reason I was born, and for this I came into
the world, to testify to the truth. Everyone on
the side of truth listens to me."

- Matthew 728-29 When Jesus had finished saying
these things, the crowds were amazed at his
teaching, 29 because he taught as one who had
authority, and not as their teachers of the law. - Matthew 2818 Then Jesus came to them and said,
"All authority in heaven and on earth has been
given to me.

the Lord Jesus Christ,
6King Jesus
- Proclaimed Good News of His Kingdom.
- Luke 443 But he said, "I must preach the good
news of the kingdom of God to the other towns
also, because that is why I was sent." - Matthew 423 Jesus went throughout Galilee,
teaching in their synagogues, preaching the good
news of the kingdom, and healing every disease
and sickness among the people.
7King Jesus
- Performed Messianic miracles.
- Matthew 115 The blind receive sight, the lame
walk, those who have leprosy are cured, the deaf
hear, the dead are raised, and the good news is
preached to the poor. - John 1237 Even after Jesus had done all these
miraculous signs in their presence, they still
would not believe in him.
8King Jesus
- Officially Presented Himself to Israel as King.
- John 1213 They took palm branches and went out
to meet him, shouting, "Hosanna!" "Blessed is he
who comes in the name of the Lord!" "Blessed is
the King of Israel!" - Luke 1939-40 39 Some of the Pharisees in the
crowd said to Jesus, "Teacher, rebuke your
disciples!" 40 "I tell you," he replied, "if they
keep quiet, the stones will cry out."

- Ultimately Rejected by the Religious Leaders.
- Luke 1941-44 41 As he approached Jerusalem and
saw the city, he wept over it 42 and said, "If
you, even you, had only known on this day what
would bring you peace--but now it is hidden from
your eyes They will not leave one stone on
another, because you did not recognize the time
of God's coming to you."
10King Jesus
- Ultimately Rejected by the Religious Leaders.
- Matthew 2663-67 But Jesus remained silent. The
high priest said to him, "I charge you under oath
by the living God Tell us if you are the Christ,
the Son of God." 64 "Yes, it is as you say,"
Jesus replied 65 Then the high priest tore his
clothes and said, "He has spoken blasphemy! Why
do we need any more witnesses? Look, now you have
heard the blasphemy. 66 What do you think?" "He
is worthy of death," they answered. 67 Then they
spit in his face and struck him with their fists.

11King Jesus Crucified, Risen Returning
- Acts 222-24a "Men of Israel, listen to this
Jesus of Nazareth was a man accredited by God to
you by miracles, wonders and signs, which God did
among you through him, as you yourselves know. 23
This man was handed over to you by God's set
purpose and foreknowledge and you, with the help
of wicked men, put him to death by nailing him to
the cross. 24 But God raised him from the dead

- Suffering Savior and King
- Isaiah 534 Surely he took up our infirmities and
carried our sorrows, yet we considered him
stricken by God, smitten by him, and afflicted.

- Submissive Savior and King
- Isaiah 535 But he was pierced for our
transgressions, he was crushed for our
iniquities the punishment that brought us peace
was upon him, and by his wounds we are healed.

- Sacrificial Savior and King
- Isaiah 536 We all, like sheep, have gone astray,
each of us has turned to his own way and the
LORD has laid on him the iniquity of us all.

- Shepherd Savior and King
- John 1011,14 "I am the good shepherd. The good
shepherd lays down his life for the sheep "I am
the good shepherd I know my sheep and my sheep
know me--
16King Jesus Crucified, Risen Returning
- Second-coming Savior and King
- Matthew 2442 "Therefore keep watch, because you
do not know on what day your Lord will come.
17The King of the Universe
- Came into this world to sacrificially die at
Calvary. - Proved who He was by rising from the dead.
- Calls everyone to turn from sin and believe in
Him. - Is coming again, you must be ready for His return.
