    the water and sewage lines

Measurements and Location
  • Footings must be three meters from bank
  • Therefore, bridge will be placed at highest point
on the riverbank to comply with regulations
  • Distance is now 50 feet, approx. 15 meters

11
Measurements and Location
  • Ideal width is 6 feet, allowing any combination
of walker, cyclist or wheelchair user to cross at
    the same time
  • Ice flows under the other bridges along the
river, and therefore our bridge must be equally
as high or slightly higher to accommodate for any
extra ice picked up between bridges

12
Bernie Chisholm
  • St. Francis Xavier University Cross Country
Running coach and former National Coach for both
    World Championships and World University
    Championships
  • Nova Scotia Sports Hall of Fame Inductee
  • Crusher Dust is best for top layer (A little more
    expensive)
  • Type II Gravel for base

13
Bernie Chisholm
  • First layer to be graded then rolled
  • Second layer to be rolled
  • Once it rains, the path will be almost permanent
    under normal conditions

14
Achieved Goals
  • Additional Accomplishments
  • Contacted Stora Enso and David Shea
  • Obtained Flood Plain Map
