Introduction
  • We all know that the economy is not so great
    right now. People are losing jobs or taking pay
    cuts. North Carolina's tourist industry has also
    taken a loss. People just aren't traveling as
    much because they just do not have the money.
    Your job is to create a brochure that convinces
    people that North Carolina and its four regions
    is the place to travel.

Task
  • The brochure you create will have to contain all
    four regions. -For each region you will have to
    include at least one picture but no more than
    three. -You will include 2-3 characteristics of
    the region. For example the Tidewater region is
    influenced by the daily movement of the tides or
    that sounds distinguish the Tidewater region from
    other regions. -2-3 things to do in the region.
    For example in the Piedmont region you can go to
    the race track.

  • -For each region you will need to use at least 3
    vocabulary words. -The other two pages will be
    yours to do whatever you like on them. It must
    relate to the brochure and convince people that
    North Carolina would be a great place to visit.
    It will have to have text on it SO IT CAN NOT BE
    JUST PICTURES. I included some suggestions for
    you.-testimonials of people who have gone to the
    regions -travel itinerary -different travel
    packages

Process
  • Before we go to the computer lab -You should
    have decided the region's characteristics -How
    you would like to set up the brochure (what page
    will be what) -The tourist attractions for each
    region In the computer lab -You will have
    two computer lab days to work on the brochure
    -You can use your textbook, your notes, or the
    websites I have provided you to find your
    information. No other source is needed. -Once
    you finish putting all the information, pictures,
    and pages in order then you can play around with
    the font and colors.
