Sam Gardiner was born in 1967 in Gisborne. Sam
has two other family members Kristen and Bernard.
Sam is the second oldest with Kristen being the
youngest.

KRISTEN
Sam was five when she first attended the local
Catholic school St. Brigids. Sister Ann Barbara
was Sams grade six teacher. Sam found year six
the hardest because Sister Barbara and her
clashed!

The subjects that Sam was taught were Religion,
Geography, English, Mathematics, Social Studies,
History, Sport and Art. Art was Sams favourite
subject because she was able to express herself
and be creative.

When Sam left school she went to University and
graduated with a Degree in Art and Photography.
Currently Sam is a practicing artist, a
photographer and a mini lab assistant. Sam has
had ten jobs since she has graduated from
University. Seven of them have been in pubs.

Sams best memories from school are playing with
her friends and winning a drawing competition
where Sam won a hard covered dictionary (which
she still has).

The types of games that Sam played at school were
jacks, elastics, skippy, sevens, scarecrow tiggy
and normal tiggy. Sams favourite pass time was
playing on the monkey bars at lunch time.

Over the years Sam has built a house and is
raising her only daughter who also attends St.
Brigids Primary School.
