Municipal)

11 Right to Information Act, 2005 - Status
- 1,78,028 Public Information Officers appointed
- Manuals Guides on RTI prepared by CGG
- 50,000 copies of Act and User Guide circulated
- More than 10,000 stakeholders (officials, civil
society representatives, media) trained - CGG selected as National Implementing Agency on
GoI-UNDP Project on RTI

Annual Report placed in Legislative Assembly. - From October 2005 till 31 December 2006
- 8864 applications received - 7574 disposed.
- 1263 appeals complaints filed - 840 disposed
- Due to low number of applications, awareness
campaigns are being planned with NGOs.

- 300 State District Resource Persons trained
- 8000 Village Social Auditors trained
- Social audits conducted in more than 6000
habitations in 120 Mandals across 8 districts - More than 100 NGOs as partners
- Action initiated against 95 erring officials
- Social Audit being extended to other departments
like Health, Education, etc.

- RAJiv (Rajiv Internet Village) being set up in

engineering graduates in IT
