core group praying about launching a new church!

of hell shall not prevail against
it. (Matthew 1618, KJV)

- "His intent was that now, through the church, the
manifold wisdom of God should be made known to
the rulers and authorities in the heavenly
realms, according to his eternal purpose which he
accomplished in Christ Jesus our Lord."
(Ephesians 310, NIV)
5Starting a New Church Why?
- 3. It is Jesus strategy for the church to
fulfill His great commission. - "But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit
comes on you and you will be my witnesses in
Jerusalem local church ministry, and in all
Judea regional church planting and Samaria
regional cross-cultural church planting, and to
the ends of the earth global church planting.
(Acts 18, NIV)
6Starting a New Church Why?
- "A church's health is measured by its sending
capacity, not its seating capacity. Churches are
in the sending business. One of the questions we
must ask in evaluating a church's health is, How
many people are being mobilized for the Great
Commission?" - Rick Warren

17So How Do You Start a New Church?
- Lets take a look at the biblical pattern found
in Acts, chapters 1 and 2.
18So How Do You Start a New Church?
1. You get your marching orders from Jesus. (Acts
18)
2. You develop a leadership team. (Acts 112-13)
3. You start a prayer meeting. (Acts 114)
4. You must time your launch appropriately.
(Acts 21)
5. You must launch out in the Spirits power and
create interest. (Acts 21-13)

and relevance. (Acts 214-36)

Christ and His church. (Acts 236-41)
- 8. You must build a biblically functioning
community of faith. (Acts 242-48)

comes on you and you will be my witnesses in
Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to
the ends of the earth. (Acts 18,NIV)
