18PROBLEMS
- that the Cell Church paradigm addresses
19Why Is It
- that it is so difficult
- to make disciples instead of members?
- to grow beyond a certain level?
- to develop a culture that values evangelism and
spiritual reproduction? - to reach into dissimilar cultures?
20Why dont those church people talk to us?
Why wont those people come to our church?
21The Relevancy Gap
96
agree that the Christian faith is relevant to
their personal lives.
See little or no relevancy in local churches to
their personal lives
22I am convinced that people all over the world
will not listen if we have the right doctrine,
but are not exhibiting community. There is no
use saying you have community or love for each
other if it does not get down into the tough
stuff of life. Francis Schaeffer

DESIGNEDFOR HARVEST
69Now to Him who is able to do exceeding
abundantly beyond all that we ask or think,
according to the power that works within us, to
Him be the glory in the CHURCH and in Christ
Jesus to all generations forever and ever.
Ephesians 320-21
70Evaluation!
- Where is our church regarding small groups right
now? - What is the next step? (Gods step)
-
- Option One Ablaze small groups
-
- Option Two Cell Church Transformation
71 72Small Group (Cell) Practicum
- Worship formatsDVD, guitars, CD, piano, Acapulco
-
- This small group practicum provides an
opportunity for you to experience some of the
mechanics and dynamics of a Basic Christian
Community meeting. Lets get to it! -
- Form into groups of five. Refer to outline.
-
- You should not be in a group with a family
member, same church members, friend or all the
same sex.
73Small Group (Cell) Practicum
- This should not just be an artificial experiment
in the mechanics of a group but an encounter with
Jesus through which the dynamics and mechanics of
cell life are experienced. - Because of time limitations each person must not
only be ready to participate, but avoid
monopolizing the sharing. - A designated cell servant will facilitate the
time together.
74Small Group (Cell) Experience
- Ice Breaker (10 minutes)
- Presence (20 minutes)
- Power (30 minutes)
