Snow Tubing

• Sixteen lanes of pure fun for everyone! So come
  on out and act your age! It's the hill you
  dreamed of as a kid! Experience some awesome
  whoo-de-doos! The best part is the five special
  lifts that whisk you back uphill to do it all
  over again! Kids need to be at least 44 inches
  tall. Snowtubes are provided, laughs required!

Lessons

• Skiers learn the basics on our dedicated teaching
  slope with a gentle surface lift. Then beginner
  skiers progress to our chairlifts which open up
  to a variety of beginner slopes to practice your
  stops and turns. Yes! Now you're really skiing!

• Winterplace swings and rocks with popular,
  exciting entertainment to fit your style! Check
  out the bands in The Snowdrift Lounge, Karaoke in
  Mountain Mama's and acoustic folk music at The
  Mountain House!

Tips For Your First Day!

• Take a lesson!!! Like anything, you'll improve
  the most when you receive some guidance. The best
  way to become a good skier or snowboarder is to
  take a lesson from one of our professional
  instructors. You'll safely learn more in a 90
  minute lesson than you will all day on your own.

Tips Cont.

• Obtain proper equipment. Be sure to have your ski
  or snowboard bindings adjusted correctly. You can
  rent quality ski or snowboarding equipment at
  Winterplace.
• Dress in layers. Layering allows you to
  accommodate your body's constantly changing
  temperature.
• Know your limits. Learn to ski and snowboard in
  control.

• Water proof Gloves/Mittens
• Goggles/Sunglasses
• Jacket/Parka (water resistant)
• Synthetic or wool base layers for top bottom
• Snow/Water resistant pants
• Warm, dry socks
• Sunscreen - SPF 15 or higher
• Lip Balm

• Trail Map - available for free in the lodge
• ID, Wallet, Cash
• Extra Clothes, Shoes
• Equipment If you are not renting either skis,
  poles and boots or snowboard and snowboard
  specific boots

Responsibility Code

• Always stay in control, and be able to stop or
  avoid other people or objects.
• People ahead of you have the right of way. It is
  your responsibility to avoid them.
• You must not stop where you obstruct a trail, or
  are not visible from above.
• Whenever starting downhill or merging into a
  trail, look uphill and yield to others.

• 5. Always use devices to help prevent runaway
  equipment.
• 6. Observe all posted signs and warnings. Keep
  off closed trails and out of closed areas.
• 7. Prior to using any lift, you must have the
  knowledge and ability to load, and unload safely.
  
• Know the code. It's your responsibility.
