235 STEPS TO LEADINGPEOPLEINTO VISION
24See the Vision
1
25Proverbs 2918
Where there is no vision, the people perish but
he that keepeth the law, happy is he. (KJV)
26Proverbs 2918
If people cant see what God is doing, they
stumble all over themselves But when they attend
to what He reveals, they are most blessed. (MSG)
27Nehemiah 11-4
The words of Nehemiah the son of Hac-aliah. Now
it happened in the month of Chislev, in the
twentieth year, as I was in Susa the capital,
that Hanani, one of my brothers, came with
certain men from Judah. And I asked them
concerning the Jews who escaped, who had
28Nehemiah 11-4
survived the exile, and concerning Jerusalem. And
they said to me, The remnant there in the
province who had survived the exile is in great
trouble and shame. The wall of Jerusalem is
broken down, and its gates are destroyed by
fire. As soon as I heard these words I sat
29Nehemiah 11-4
down and wept and mourned for days, and I
continued fasting and praying before the God of
heaven. (ESV)
30Nehemiah 111
O Lord, let your ear be attentive to the prayer
of your servant, and to the prayer of your
servants who delight to fear your name, and give
success to your servant today, and grant him
mercy in the sight of this man. (ESV)
31Leadership Thought You cant see what God is
doing if you dont spend time in His presence.
32Proverbs 418-19
The way of the righteous is like the first gleam
of dawn, which shines ever brighter until the
full light of day. But the way of the wicked is
like total darkness. They have no idea what they
are stumbling over. (NLT)
33Say the Vision

34Nehemiah 22-8
And the king said to me, Why is your face sad,
seeing you are not sick? This is nothing but
sadness of the heart. Then I was very much
afraid. I said to the king, Let the king live
forever! Why should not my face be sad, when the
city, the place of my fathers graves, lies in
35Nehemiah 22-8
ruins, and its gates have been destroyed by
fire? Then the king said to me, What are you
requesting? So I prayed to the God of heaven.
And I said to the king, If it pleases the king,
and if your servant has found favor in your
sight, that you send me to Judah, to the city of
my fathers graves,
36Nehemiah 22-8
that I may rebuild it. And the king said to me
(the queen sitting beside him), How long will
you be gone, and when will you return? So it
pleased the king to send me when I had given him
a time. And I said to the king, If it pleases
the king, let letters be given me to the
governors of the province Beyond
37Nehemiah 22-8
the River, that they may let me pass through
until I come to Judah, and a letter to Asaph, the
keeper of the kings forest, that he may give me
timber to make beams for the gates of the
fortress of the temple, and for the wall of the
city, and for the house that I shall occupy. And
the
38Nehemiah 22-8
king granted me what I asked, for the good hand
of my God was upon me. (ESV)

45Nehemiah 217-18
Then I said to them, You see the trouble we are
in, how Jerusalem lies in ruins with its gates
burned. Come, let us build the wall of Jerusalem,
that we may no longer suffer derision. And I
told them of the hand of my God that had been
upon me for good, and also of the
46Nehemiah 217-18
words that the king had spoken to me. And they
said, Let us rise up and build. So they
strengthened their hands for the good work.
(ESV)
47Nehemiah 47-10
But when Sanballat and Tobiah and the Arabs and
the Ammonites and the Ashdodites heard that the
repairing of the walls of Jerusalem was going
forward and that the breaches were beginning to
be closed, they were very angry. And they all
plotted together to come and fight against
Jerusalem and to cause
48Nehemiah 47-10
confusion in it. And we prayed to our God and set
a guard as a protection against them day and
night. In Judah it was said, The strength of
those who bear the burdens is failing. There is
too much rubble. By ourselves we will not be able
to rebuild the wall. (ESV)

And our enemies said, They will not know or see
till we come among them and kill them and stop
the work. At that time the Jews who lived near
them came from all directions and said to us ten
times, You must return to us. So in the lowest
parts of the space behind

the wall, in open places, I stationed the people
by their clans, with their swords, their spears,
