  • Part of the job of the 8th grade math teacher is
    to prepare students for high school.
  • Grades are weighted with homework being the most
    important class work item.
  • Students will invariably receive occasional Ds
    or Fs. This is actually OK. Students have
    different strengths and weaknesses in math or in
    work habits.

  • 8th graders need practice in how to solve
    adult-type problemsone of the problems is to
    improve the students grade.
