Attendance
  • If you exceed FOUR absences (for any reason),
    you might be withdrawn from the class.
  • If you stop attending class and do not officially
    withdraw, you will receive an F for the course.
  • If you leave before the end of the class period,
    you will be counted as absent.

STUDENT EXPECTATIONS
  • Attendance Attend class every day and make you
    best effort to arrive on time.
  • Read the section to be covered prior to class.
  • Do the suggested homework assignment AFTER the
    section is covered in class.
  • Be active in class.  Participate in class
    discussions. 
  • Be responsible for any material missed when you
    are absent.

Quizzes
  • Eight will be assigned.
  • You need to be present to turn in the quiz.
  • No late quizzes will be accepted.
  • You must show all the process to get full credit.
  • You must write your name and last name in the
    quiz. A quiz without name (or nickname) will
    received a zero.
  • Your quiz grade will be based on the best 5
    scores.
  • No electronic copy of the quiz will be accepted.
  • You must use pencil.

Make-up Exams
  • There will be four partial tests and a cumulative
    final test.
  • There are NO make - ups for missed exams.
  • A second missed test, for any reason, will be
    given a zero score.
  • NO re-takes, test corrections or extra credit
    will be allowed.
  • The test grade will be based on the best three
    grades.

Cell phones and beepers
  • Cell phones are not allowed out during class
    time!
  • Any student who takes out (and uses) their cell
    phone during class or disrupts the class by
    talking excessively may be asked to leave.
  • This will count as an absence.
