• Well use a combination of A, B, C..., rubric
  grades of 1, 2, 3, 4, and symbols. The rubric
  numbers stands for the following

• Motivate students to read independently
• Involve adults in students reading
• Help students learn to reflect on their reading
  through discussion
• Read 21 books and pass 21 Reading Counts Test or
  Comprehension quiz from teacher
• Books must be at an appropriate level
