convenient and available while lowering the cost
of providing services and increasing municipal
revenues. - Education Initiatives focused on the improvement
of the educational quality municipal schools, new
opportunities for professional development of
citizens, and on-demand classes. - Health Initiatives to improve the quality and
convenience of primary healthcare services
provided and the accessibility of healthcare
information for participants.

- Telecenters A network of telecenters designed
for providing public access to the Internet as
well as producing and accessing local citizen-
and government-created knowledge and media. - Connectivity Providing a community network that
links government entities, such as municipal
offices, schools, telecenters, health centers and
libraries. - Internet access Providing open broadband
Internet access across the municipality allowing
any individual or entity to access the Internet,
regardless of affiliation. - Network Resources Technological infrastructure
which will be based the development of La Comuna
Digital such as servers, routers, etc. - Web-based Platform Specialized application
platform to support community info sharing and
interaction.
10Supporting Universal Learning
- Basic ICT Training and Certification basic
in-person or virtual ICT training accessed at
schools, telecenters, libraries or from private
homes via the wireless mesh network. - Specialized Training by Segment Specialized
skills and knowledge provided for specific social
segments targeted for development by Peñalolén,
such as entrepreneurs, women, and unemployed
youth. - Content Development and Applications Initiatives
focusing on local community content development
or adaptation. - Leadership Training Community workshops provided
to increase community ownership of development
projects and to foster a culture of leadership.

- Civic participation Projects encouraging citizen
participation in municipal decision making and
management and in citizen-led community
problem-solving and development issues. - Voting Consulting process for citizens to
express their preferences via a network-supported
