Everything you need to know
A hurricane is a huge storm with spiral winds
that move inward and upward. Hurricane speed can
get up to seventy-five to two hundred miles per
hour. Hurricanes gather heat and energy from the
warm ocean waters. Evaporation from seawater
gives the hurricane more power. Hurricanes
rotate in a counter-clock wise way. They also
have a eye. The eye is the calmest part of a
hurricane.

Examples of hurricanes
Hurricanes come in many different sizes and
categories to destroy an entire city and wash
away even the biggest of homes. Hurricanes come
in different categories from 1-5. One is the
least strongest and 5 is the most powerful. One
of the hurricanes we are going to talk about is
Hurricane Katrina. Hurricane Katrinas category
was 4-5, some of the many powerful. It destroyed
many houses and people. This hurricane occurred
in Louisiana, 2005.

Problems of hurricanes
Some problems with hurricanes are that can
destroy anything in their way. If a hurricane is
strong enough it can rip houses from were they
sit. Most hurricanes happen near warm water
sources. Some known hurricane have happened in
Florida, Louisiana, and many other amazing
places.

weather broadcast or a radio that brings news
bulletins. You should also have a hurricane
safety awareness plan. During a hurricane You
should be at the highest point and have a kit or
food incase if you are there for awhile. After a
hurricane You could help clean your
neighborhood after all the water has gone away.
It is important to be safe during a hurricane!
