Title: Turbidite Reservoir Modelling
1Turbidite Reservoir Modelling Improved
reservoir models by use of field
analogues! 29.9.- 4.10. 2003 29.-30.9. Seminar
at NPD in Stavanger 1.10.-4.10. Field-trip to
Ainsa, Spain. Examples from several
basins and field analogues, and a subsequent
field-trip to famous Ainsa Basin, Spain. The
seminar will focus on modelling of turbidite
depositional environments and the integration of
sedimentological and stratigraphical information
in reservoir modelling.
Turbidite Reservoir Modelling Deep-marine
depositional systems are matters of high
interest. And, because of their complexity and
heterogeneity, they are a challenge for
exploration and production of our hydrocarbon
reservoirs. In order to improve our
understanding of sub-surface data of such
systems, you are invited to participate in a
FORCE seminar where we aim to integrate
experiences from turbiditic reservoirs and
outcrops from several basins. In addition to
talk presentations, a core workshop will be held.
The cores are taken in the famous Ainsa Basin of
Southern Pyrenees, where we will arrange the
field-trip to magnificent turbidite outcrops.
Models of these outcrops will be demonstrated
in the seminar and by PCs in the field.
