Overview of Project
  • The Domestic Violence Sector Workforce
    Development project sought to identify the
    priority needs for workforce development,
    training professional development of workers
    that, if implemented, would improve service
    delivery.

Methodology
  • Half day workshop with the industry
    representatives to identify issues, areas for
    reform, and PD of workers
  • Online survey that was disseminated to the field.
  • Key findings reported to a workshop of industry
    representatives for validation and
    prioritisation.
  • Findings, priorities and recommendations
    implementation plan was prepared for endorsement
    by the Board and submission to DFEEST

On-Line PD Training Calendar
  • Develop an online training calendar for the
    violence sector, including encouraging and
    supporting organisations who deliver training
    related to domestic violence, rape and sexual
    assault and child protection.
  • Launch the online training calendar. Ensure it is
    promoted both within the violence sector and also
    to other sectors that have a need for training in
    this area.

DVeLOP Project
  • This research project will explore the best ways
    to structure an e-learning program on the topic
    of domestic violence so that the advantages of
    e-learning are maximised and the disadvantages
    are minimised.
