AIP 12 Tasks

• Develop an accurate and timely capability for
  centrally tracking AAE movements worldwide.
• Tasks include
• Determine the need for and how the capability for
  tracking AAE movements worldwide fits within the
  overall DoD Logistic Business Enterprise
  Architecture
• Identify and evaluate current AAE tracking
  systems and technologies, and verify gaps in
  coverage
• Determine how to leverage contracts, technology
  and RD efforts to provide combatant commanders
  and other DoD components access to the same
  tracking capabilities and resources available in
  CONUS and other AORs
• Conduct a conference to present the current
  tracking assessment, evolving capabilities and
  the viability of a central worldwide tracking
  capability
• Adjust the tracking system architecture based on
  requirements

Key Participants

• OSD(ATL) - Office of Primary Responsibility
• Joint Staff - coordinates Combatant Command
  requirements
• Combatant Commands - responsible for business
  processes and automated systems within their
  respective AORs
• Military Services own, manage and issue AAE
• USTRANSCOM DPO, PMO for GTN and portfolio
  manager for distribution systems
• OSD (Policy) - policy guidance to the Military
  Services and Combatant Commanders
• OSD (Intelligence) - advises on intelligence
  across stakeholders
• DCMA administers contracts and ensures
  contractor compliance
• The JOCG Transportation Subgroup - represents the
  transportation stakeholders within the ad hoc
  JOCG group

Current Progress

• OSD requested LMI to support AIP 12 tasks
• Task Order pending

Next Steps

• LMI will work with and support JS, ATL,
  USTRANSCOM and other stakeholders to initiate AIP
  12 tasks upon notice to begin performance
