History of AMD
AMD was founded by Jerry Sanders in 1969 with
seven others who decided to go into business with
him. AMD grew very rapidly, and by the end of
1974, AMD was reporting annual sales of 26.5
million dollars. They started out taking
computers that existing companies had and
upgrading them by making them faster and more
efficient.

AMD Today
In the early 90s , it was becoming apparent that
personal computers were going to be the next big
thing. At the time Intel was leading the way
with no real competition in sight. AMD decided
to answer with processors like the AM486, the K5
and K6 family processors. Today, AMDs focus is
on the Athlon and Duron class processors.

BORLAND

• Established in 1983
• Best known for integration software.
• Creates application software for the Sun J2EE
  platform and the Microsoft .NET framework

The principle of Borland is simple enough. They
produce software that allows different users with
different platforms to all access the same
information. It also allows companies to move
into web based computing while retaining the
benefits of a legacy system.

In the Beginning
The main goal of Borland was to change the long
and tedious chore of programming in raw code, and
developed an environment that was simpler and
faster. What they ended up developing was a
program called Turbo Pascal. The program was a
success and launched them into the big times.
Today, they develop a wide range of software that
can suit your every need.

RICOH U.S. has their headquarters in West
Caldwell, New Jersey. They are a leading
provider of office equipment, with a focus on
imaging. This includes your copiers, scanners,
fax machines, cameras, etc. They utilize a
world-wide network of independent dealers and
markets its products through 4 wholly owned
subsidiaries.
