Begining of Time-1959

• The Abacus was the first step toward computing.

• In 1823 Charles Babbage developed one of the
  first calculating machines.

• Herman Hollerith and James Powers first used
  punched cards successfully with computers in 1890.

• In 1942 John W. Mauchly and his associates at the
  University of Pennsylvania built the fastest
  computer of its time

Pioneer Technology 1970

• Gilbert Hyatt invented the microprocessor but the
  paperwork took to long so Intel beat getting it
  out
• Ray Holt worked with his brother and designed the
  onboard main flight computer for the U. S. Navy.
• Alan Shugart at IBM invented the 1st regular use
  for the floppy

• Radios have changed warfare because without
  radios, ground troops would be confused and
  wouldnt know who to attack
• Smart bombs can hit a specific room in a building
  thanks to technological advances
• Guns have become faster and more powerful, just
  like technological advances

• Technology has profoundly changed architecture.

• Computers make it possible to design fantastic
  structures of all shapes and sizes.

• Without technology modern architecture would be
  impossible.

How Technology Effects the Military Workplace

• If the military did not have computers the
  military would not be very strong.
• Technology can be something that does not have to
  be some type of computer it can be a weapon with
  a special design.
• If there were no computers then in would be much
  harder to build other weaponry.

• The internet has had the biggest impact on real
  estate
• The fast access to information made it succeed.
• Tele-communications has allowed for a more mobile
  work environment
• These may eliminate the need for real estate in
  business

space could be eliminated
