manmade emergencies and disasters.

Emergency Coordination

• GOHSEP is responsible for acting as the
  Governors agent in organizing State Government
  Departments Agencies to work together to
  coordinate planning operations
• During an emergency GOHSEP activates the State
  EOC to manage the response recovery utilizing
  the Louisiana Unified Command System

effectively and efficiently together to prepare

• GOHSEP operates under the Unified Command
  Structure during activation for all major
  disasters

Unified Command

• Unified Command is a team effort process,
  allowing all agencies with responsibility for an
  incident, either geographical or functional, to
  establish a common set of incident objectives and
  strategies that all can subscribe to.

This is accomplished without losing or
abdicating Agency authority, responsibility, or
accountability.
