Icarus by Greg and Ryan
  • Icarus was the son of the inventor Daedalus and a
    slave named Naucrate.
  • Daedalus and Icarus escaped Crete after saving
    Theseus to kill the monster called minotaur.
  • Daedalus buried his son on an island which can be
    called Icarius

Golden Fleece
  • The Golden Fleece was a treasure sought by
    Jason Argonauts. When Athamas remarried the
    childrens stepmother, Ino, become jealous and
    wanted to get rid of them.Before Phrixus could be
    sacrificed however, Nephele sent a golden ram
    which carried both children off through the air.

Theseus
Theseus was born of Aethra. Theseus ran into a
sudden storm and was homed by several different
gods. One his trip he killed many villains
including, Sciron, Sinis, and Procrustes He was
wise and Athenians paid great respect to him.
Theseus was murder and thrown over at sea. His
people gave him a proper burial in a tomb.

Daedulus
  • Daedulus, the son of Metion, was a famous
    architect, inventor, and craftsman. He lived in
    Athens, with his mother and father. He went to
    Crete, where he began to work. He constructed a
    wooden cow for the queen to ride on the the city.

Pandora
When Prometheus stole fire from heaven, Zeus took
vengeance by presenting Pandora to Epimetheus,
Prometheus' brother. With her, Pandora had a jar
which she was not to open under any circumstance.
Impelled by her natural curiosity, Pandora opened
the jar, and all evil contained escaped and
spread over the earth. She hastened to close the
lid, but the whole contents of the jar had
escaped, except for one thing which lay at the
bottom, and that was Hope.

  • Athena, the Greek goddess of wisdom, war, the
    arts, industry, justice and skill. She was the
    favorite child of Zeus. She had sprung fully
    grown out of her father's head. Her mother was
    Metis, goddess of wisdom and Zeus' first wife. In
    fear that Metis would bear a son mightier than
    himself he swallowed her. Zeus got painful
    headaches from the hammering of the helmet.
    Skilled Hephatus ran to his father and split his
    skull open and from it emerged Athena, fully
    grown and wearing her mother's robe and helmet.

Cretan Bull By Pam Eric
  • Cretan Bull was a wild bull from Crete, with
    extraordinary strength Hercules captured this
    magnificent bull. He leaped on his back and road
    him until the bull was tired. Hercules presented
    the bull to Eurytheus the god of the sea but she
    refused the offering.

Zeus and Alcmene. His gift was fabulous strength
he strangled two serpents in his cradle, and
killed a lion before manhood. Heracles' main
antagonist was Hera

Because of a prophecy that Jason would someday
do him harm, King Pelias of Iolcos sent Jason on
a seemingly impossible quest to bring the Golden
Fleece back from distant Colchis. For the quest,
Jason assembled a crew of heroes from all over
Greece Argos built for the heroes the largest
ship ever constructed, the Argo.
On the voyage to Colchis, in addition to other
adventures, Jason and his crew of Argonauts
became the first humans to pass through the
Symplegades (the Clashing Rocks).

    who attacked Athens after his son was murdered
    there. She fell in love with Theseus, a young man
    who volunteered to come and kill the Minotaur,
    and helped him by giving him a magic sword and a

    way out. But he left her sleeping on the island
    of Naxos, and Dionysus wedded her himself.
