3Property, purpose and assignment of the course
This course is a must-study special basic
course for the high grade student majoring in
traffic engineering, transportation and vehicle
engineering. It provides the basic knowledge for
students to research road traffic problems. On
studying the general theories and research
methods of system simulation, at the same time by
the developmental experiment, it can cultivate
the basic technology of students , who will be
engaged in the research and application fields of
traffic engineering and transportation. .

9Explaination By the teaching methods of
classroom instruction and development experiment
training, students will grasp the general
theories and research techniques , and
understand the virtual reality technology and
the usage of correlative simulation software. At
the same time, by the development experiments on
the large-scale road traffic simulator KMRTS
which has been researched self-determination,
students will understand the structure and theory
of KMRTS , grasp some models such as vehicle
dynamics model, vehicle collision model, traffic
flow model and clays characteristics model.
Through the study of this course, students will
know the research status and aspects in the field
of road traffic simulation, which will give a
favorable base for the research and application
in traffic engineering and transportation in the
future. This course is a check course. Writer
