NGB Vision
To provide for the common defenseof the
nation, the National Guard Bureau provides the
leadership and resources required to set the
standard for the worlds premier reserve force,
the National Guard of the United States. Our
destiny is to respond to current and future
worldwide commitments of the National Security
Strategy with community-based, dedicated,
citizen-soldiers and airmen well-trained,
organized, and supported with state of the art
technology and equipment.

NGB Mission
To acquire, manage, and distribute Army and Air
National Guard resources to develop and
administer policies and programs in support of
the National Security Strategy to act as the
Channel of Communications between the Services
and the National Guard of the States, Territories
and the District of Columbia as well as other
internal and external agencies for the successful
accomplishment of CONUS and OCONUS missions.
