poor.Called for more taxation of the rich.

contributions they now had to make to social
security of their workers.

WHY DID THE SUPREME COURT OPPOSE THE NEW DEAL?
Most of the Judges were Republican and so opposed
Roosevelts ideas.They believed there was too
much Government interference taking place.
In 1935 it declared that parts of the New Deal
were unconstitutional (not in the interests of
the American people) and so it could not become
law.
