Title: ZETA 40 60
1ZETA 40 - 60

3Error indicators
Overheating The LED shines if cutting has been
interrupted due to too high temperature in the
machine. The machine will reconnect
automatically after a short cooling
period. Mains voltage fluctuations The LED
shines red if mains voltage is too high or too
low (/- 15).
4Cutting current
Setting the cutting current The knob is used to
set the cutting current (main parameter). The
machine adjusts the energy consumption to the
present cutting speed and wall thickness.
5Cutting voltage
Cutting voltage The LED shines for safety reasons
when there is voltage (V) on the plasma nozzle.
6Gas indicator
Gas adjustment The LED shines when gas pressure
is too high or too low. The LED will go out when
the set gas pressure is normal again. The gas
pressure can be set between 1.5 and 4 bar.
7Torch indicator
Plasma torch The LED shines for safety reasons
if there is a short circuit in the wearing parts
of the torch head of if the torch has been
separated. Zeta is equipped with a 6 m PLA plasma
cutter hose which is known from the more
conventional Migatronic PDX 85 plasma cutter.
8Plasma cutting
Traditional plasma cutting When the LED shines
and the torch trigger is activated, the Zeta will
ignite the plasma arc via its pilot arc
(contact-free ignition). Zeta cuts through all
electrically conductive metals with a temperature
in the plasma arc of up to 20,000C.
9Plasma cuttingin punched plates
Plasma cutting in punched plates When the LED
shines and the torch trigger is activated, the
Zeta will ignite the plasma arc via its pilot arc
(contact-free ignition). New technique and
electronic monitoring of the cutting process make
it possible to avoid unintended extinctions in
the punched plate cutting process. Zeta changes
automatically between pilot arc and cutting arc
in a fraction of a second.
10Gas test
Control of correct gas pressure Zeta is cheap to
run, due to a process development that requires
only pure compressed air. When the keypad is
activated, gas will flow through the cutting hose
and nozzle. Gas pressure must be set between 1.5
and 4 bar on the back side of the machine at the
gas valve. We recommend cleaned and dried
compressed air for optimum cutting quality and
long life of wearing parts.
