FloMAX Fuel Nozzles
FloMAX Fuel Nozzles connect to all standard fuel
receivers. The FN600 fuel nozzle has latching
dogs and the FN600BL fuel nozzle uses a ball lock
design. Both nozzles come with a ball bearing
1½ swivel with female NPT thread An available
plug is specially designed to seal out dirt and
contaminants and is attached with a PVC coated ¼
cable lanyard. A patent pending piston
assembly allows the cylinder to be easily removed
for rebuilding. Nozzles can be adapted for
specific user requirements.

Using The Fuel Nozzle
The diesel fuel tank has a vent at the top and a
fuel receiver at the bottom. The tank is
filled from the bottom to help prevent
foaming. Attach a FloMAX nozzle to the receiver
and lift the actuation handle to the on position.
As the fuel fills the tank, air exits through
the vent. When the fluid level reaches the vent
tube, the hollow balls in the tube float pushing
the solid balls up to close the vent. Pressure
builds up in the tank reaching approximately 8
PSI. At that pressure the nozzle will shut off
and can be disconnected from the receiver.

How the nozzle shuts off
The pressure in the tank is sensed by the
removable cylinder in the back of the nozzle.
Pressure is transferred from the nozzle nose to
the cylinder through the piston rod.
Free floating pin allows rotational alignment
Bushings to allow ease of travel and less binding
As pressure increases in the cylinder, the piston
is pushed back against the piston spring. When
enough pressure pushes the piston back, the
nozzle closes the opening for the fuel flow and
the nozzle is shut off.

FloMax Fuel Receivers
  • FloMAX Fuel Receivers are designed with an
    enclosed stem spring that provides a smooth fuel
    flow path, which reduces vibration and
    backpressure. This extends both the life of the
    receiver and the fuel nozzle and increases the
    fuel flow. All FloMAX fuel receivers are
    compatible with industry standard fuel nozzles.

The FR2 nose and front poppet are easily removed
The rear poppet assembly iscompletely internal
  • The FR2 fuel receiver has an aircraft grade
    anodized aluminum base with a removable
    nickel-plated steel nose and dual poppets. The
    nose and the front poppet of the FR2 fuel
    receiver can be removed while the rear poppet
    seals inside the base allowing the worn parts of
    the receiver to be replaced without draining the
    fuel tank.

FloMax Swivels
FloMAX Swivels feature all metal construction and
have a 37 greater flow than other standard
swivels. They have a stainless steel male
threaded base and a hard anodized 1½" female NPT
nut. The swivels are sealed with two
flourosilicone O-Rings for superior performance
even in extreme temperature conditions. The
swivel has 34 stainless steel ball bearings for
smooth and consistent movement across all
pressure ranges.

Fuel Vent Series
FloMAX Fuel Vents are manufactured using aircraft
grade anodized aluminum cap. This provides
superior impact strength as opposed to the less
expensive and weaker plastic and cast aluminum
caps on other vents. The float and sealing balls
are housed in a ridged ball tube, not a flexible
and easily damaged ball spring. This will ensure
a positive seal that will not be damaged by
vibration and movement. FloMAX vents are
available in all standard configurations
including male or female threaded outlets,
anti-vandalism sleeve, and half couplings. Stem
tubes are available in standard 5, 7, 9 and
12 lengths as well as any customer specified
length.
