  • Standard developed by TAPA to address the need
    for improved truck freight security standards
  • TSR is 100 focused on truck security controls
    including collection delivery process.
  • FSR does not specify mandatory security controls
    for trucking companies seeking TAPA compliance

    be implemented that are not available in the FSR

  • Formal agreement between Buyer Supplier
  • Contractual or referred to in purchase order.
  • Requires Supplier to meet maintain compliance
    to TSR.
  • Requires Buyer to provide sufficient information
    to Supplier to support compliance.

  • Supplier to carry out self assessment to meet
    compliance to TSR (may also use competent 3rd
    party auditors)
  • Buyer specifies truck routes to be assessed
  • TAPA TSR assessment forms to be used
  • Assessment Pass
  • Level 1 score of 100 all items are mandatory
  • Level 2 score of 80 all mandatory items
  • Level 3 score of 60 all mandatory items
  • Supplier to provide evidence of compliance to
    Buyer when requested

Supplier must agree with the buyer on the
security level of this route. This will be
registered in the contract between the supplier
and buyer.

agreed security requirements (as listed in the
TSR, e.g training, telematics, police response..)

Not only must physical security be in place

security level must also be in place, implemented
and followed. This is also a must for any
subcontracted organization.

Sub-contracting
  • Supplier owns the contract with the buyer.
  • Supplier must assure that all transport over the
    whole route is based on the agreed security

    part does not comply with the agreed security
