Who signed the Declaration of independence?

• There were 56 signers.
• I am going to talk about three of them.
• The three are Samuel Adams, Edward Rutledge, and
  Benjamin Franklin.
• Felt they should be free from England

• Samuel was best at fighting for independence
• Samuel turned young men into revolutionaries
• Samuel took place in many main events that led to
  the American Revolution
• Result British disliked him and thought he was
  a trouble maker.

• He was 26 when he signed
• Married Henrietta Middleton in 1774

• John Adams said great things of him

• Elected as delegate in Continental Congress
• When came home to defend state was held captive
