I m the Wolf of CAMPIDOGLIO

• I m the most important monument in Roma! I
  breast fed the twins, Romolo and Remo. One of the
  twins, Romolo, built Rome. Its a long story.
• Sono il monumento più importante di Roma! Io ho
  allattato i gemelli Romolo e Remo e uno dei due,
  Romolo, poi, fondò Roma! Conosci la storia?....

Im the Bocca della Verità (the Truth Mouth)

• Are you a lier or not?
• If you want to know it, put your hand in my
  mouth!
• If you dont say the truth Ill eat your hand!
• Sei un bugiardo o no? Se lo vuoi sapere metti la
  tua mano dentro la bocca!

Im the Colosseum!

• Do you know I can have 85.000 spectators inside
  me? They came to see gladiators combats, fears
  hunting! I still can hear screaming and see
  blood. Romans loved that!!
• Sapete che dentro di me entravano fino a 85000
  spettatori? Per vedere lotte tra gladiatori,
  cacce alle bestie feroci, sangue e urla! I Romani
  si divertivano così!!

• but once I was the theatre Domiziano, where
  incredible ships battles took place!
• ma una volta ero il Teatro Domiziano dove si
  svolgevano persino grandiose battaglie navali!

• I started to talk in rhymes about the
  politiciens and popes corruption and I still do
  it!
• Ho cominciato a parlare in rima per scherzare
  sulle ingiustizie dei politici e dei papi e ho
  continuato per secoli!

• Laughing and joking I tell the truth!
• Anche io scherzando e ridendo metto in berlina i
  fatti del giorno!

Im the Appia way

• During centuries the most terrible fact I can
  tell you is when 6000 slaves were crucified along
  the way Spartacus was the chief of the rebels
  but this is onother story!
• Durante i secoli quello che posso raccontare di
  più terribile è quando 6000 schiavi furono
  crocifissi lungo la strada. Spartaco era il capo
  dei ribelli! Ma questa è unaltra storia.

Im the CAMPIDOGLIO

• Im one of the seven Romans hill. Do you know
  why I call me Campidoglio?
• Once, an Eutrurian soldier named Olus died on top
  of me and his skulls been found (skull in
  Latins Caput).
• So CaputOlus is Capitolium.
• Sono uno dei famosi 7 colli di Roma. Sapete
  perché mi chiamo Campidoglio? Perché un guerriero
  Etrusco, Olus morì e il suo teschio (in
  latinocaput) fu ritrovato sulla mia cima. Quindi
  Caput Olus Capitolium

In the Campidoglio .during the war between Rome
and Sabins

• Once the Sabins attacked Rome. A Roman woman,
  Tarpea, opened the door of the city to let them
  go in because they promised her to give
  everythings they carried on their left arms.
  Instead of bracelets and rings they covered her
  with their shields killing her!
• Una volta i Sabini mi conquistarono perchè una
  donna Romana,Tarpea, tradì la città aprendo le
  porte e facendo entrare i nemici in cambio di
  tutto ciò che i soldati portavano nel braccio
  sinistro anelli e bracciali d oro. I Sabini
  invece la uccisero coprendola con i loro scudi
  che tenevano appunto con la sinistra!

The Campidoglios geese

• Many years later, during the war against the
  Gauls, rebels came into the city but Campidoglio
  resisted. Gauls tried a surprise night attack but
  the geese of Gods start to make a lot of noise
  waking the Romans up!
• Molti anni dopo, il 18 Luglio del 390 A.C. Galli
  arrivarono fino a Roma e saccheggiarono la
  città. Stavano per entrare a sorpresa di notte
  per conquistare anche il Campidoglio ma le oche
  sacre starnazzando e avvisarono i soldati che
  riuscirono a respingere i galli.

Im the Circo Massimo

• Inside me wonderful charriotsraces took place.
  Drivers had to turn five times around a stone
  cone in the middle. It was very hard and
  dangerous!
• Dentro de me se svolgevano le corse delle bighe.
  Gli Aurighi dovevano fare cinque giri intorno a
  un cono de pietra. Nella pista pensate che
  faticaccia. Poveri cavalli! E che polverone!
