How can CDC and ASPH foster development of a
well-functioning network?

• Have a repository (products and resources)
• Ensure repository is maintained
• Market products and resources (to states and
  locals)
• Have information that is easily accessible (to
  states, locals, and each other)
• Ensure people understand that products are
  network products and sharable
• Funding
• Inform all of what is in the pipeline (be
  proactive)
• Update ASPH to include former S-CPHPs
• Recognize and build on existing work
• Communication
• ASPH/CDC to act as facilitators to implement
  agreed upon activities of exemplar groups
• Informal activities to be a well integrated
  network

How can CDC and ASPH foster development of a
well-functioning network?

• Give 6 months advanced notice of meetings
• Cross-jurisdictional events
• Meetings combine exemplar group meeting with a
  PI meeting
• Clear, consistent goals and outcomes
• Keep everyone in the loop
• Share best practices
• Reward CDC practice oriented activities (create
  incentives using commercial marketing as a model
  faculty rewards for service)
