detection and identification

• Require ancillary data, e.g., radiosonde data
• Use radiosonde data obtained from geographically
  separated area
• Often neglect reflected downwelled radiance
• Assume spectrally flat targets
• Assume standard atmospheres

• To achieve accurate atmospheric compensation for
  hyperspectral imaging data
