Life Cycle

• Mate in early winter
• Gives birth in its late winter or early Spring
• Taught to hunt 4 weeks after born
• Pups have to live on their own in late summer
• Live to be 12 or older

Habitat/Shelter

• North America, Europe, Asia, Africa, India, Japan
• Puts home in wooded areas, prairies and farm land
• Semi open country
• Empty woodchuck den
• Make one or more dens

Diet

• Rodents mice , voles, rabbits
• Insects
• Snails
• Blueberry, apples
• Eggs
• Uses eyes ears tongue nose to hunt
• Pounce and trap prey through its front paws
• Pups drink mothers milk for five
• Bring live mice to pups

Adaptations

• Orange red fur on its back
• White fur under its neck
• Black legs and fee
• White pointed black ears
• Keen nose, sharp, eyes and good ears for hunting
• Active mainly at night

• Humans can help a Red Fox by not shooting them
  any more and not bothering them
