• Web 2.0
• a term often applied to a perceived ongoing
  transition of the World Wide Web from a
  collection of websites to a full-fledged
  computing platform serving web applications to

• The internet is no longer just a static source of
  information it is a way to create and
  disseminate information!

• Blogging
• A weblog (usually shortened to blog, but
  occasionally spelled web log) is a web-based
  publication consisting primarily of periodic
  articles (normally in reverse chronological
  order). Although most early weblogs were manually
  updated, tools to automate the maintenance of
  such sites made them accessible to a much larger
  population, and the use of some sort of
  browser-based software is now a typical aspect of
  "blogging".

• Podcasting, a portmanteau of Apple's "iPod" and
  "broadcasting", is a method of publishing files
  to the Internet, allowing users to subscribe to a
  feed and receive new files automatically by
  subscription, usually at no cost. It first became
  popular in late 2004, used largely for audio
  files.

• Vlog
• A vlog is a weblog which uses video as its
  primary presentation format. It is primarily a
  medium for distributing video content. Vlog posts
  are usually accompanied by text, image, and
  additional meta data to provide a context or
  overview for the video. Vlogs or videoblogs are
  created by vloggers or videobloggers, while the
  act itself is referred to as vlogging or
  videoblogging.

• RSS
• Rich Site Summary, also referred to as Real
  Simple Syndication. RSS is a family of XML file
  formats for web syndication used by news websites
  and weblogs. They are used to provide items
  containing short descriptions of web content
  together with a link to the full version of the
  content. This information is delivered as an XML
  file called RSS feed, webfeed, RSS stream, or RSS
  channel.

• Aggregator/Podcatcher
• There are two main types of aggregators
  web-based aggregators and desktop/software
  aggregators. Web-based aggregators allow
  individuals to subscribe to feeds online and read
  feeds in a web browser. Desktop aggregators are
  software programs installed locally that updates
  when feeds are updated. The aggregator shows new
  information and allow for users to read feeds.
