Premillennialism

• Primary Teachings
• Christ intended to establish His kingdom when He
  came to earth the first time, but the Jews
  rejected Him. God then postponed the kingdom
  until a later date and established the church in
  its place.
• Christ is not now reigning on Davids throne, but
  will reign on his literal throne in Jerusalem in
  Palestine on this literal Earth for a literal
  1000 years.
• Israel will be nationally converted and restored
  to the land of Palestine. The lost ten tribes,
  or the Old Testament northern kingdom of Israel,
  will be gathered out of the nations when Jesus
  establishes His earthly reign.

• Primary Teachings
• The Jewish temple will be rebuilt in Jerusalem
  to fulfill the OT prophecies concerning its
  reconstruction, and animal sacrifices will
  resume.
• The righteous dead will be raised at the
  beginning of the millennium and the wicked will
  be raised at the end. These two resurrections
  will be 1000 years apart.
• We are not yet in the last dispensation of time
  upon this earth. The 1000 year reign of Christ
  will be the last days and will finalize events
  here on earth.

Objections To Premillennialism

• Denies the present reign of Christ as King in
  spite of plain statements in the NT. (Acts
  230-32)
• Denies the present existence of the kingdom of
  Christ in spite of plain statements in the NT.
  (Mark 91 Col. 113 Heb. 1228 Rev. 110)
• Claims that God did not fulfill the land promise
  to Abraham. (Josh. 2143-45 2314-16)
• View of the kingdom is earthly, political,
  material. (John 1836 1 Cor. 1550 Luke
  1720-21)
• Resumption of OT sacrificial system during the
  millennium makes Christs sacrifice of no effect
  (Hebrews 911-15, 27-28 104)

Objections To Premillennialism

• Based on distortion of book of Revelation.
• still future application (Rev. 11, 3 226)
• literal is figurative (2-3) figurative is
  literal (6-19)
• Based on a distortion of Mt. 24 Lk. 21 Mk. 13
• tribulation in THAT generation (Mt. 2434)
• Must resort to the gap technique to make
  prophecy fit their theory (Daniel 926-27).
• Possessed by a last days mentality that tries
  to fit every current event and Bible prophecy
  into an end times view. (Heb. 11-2 2 Tim. 31)
