2General Information
- The vPC-GR Dashboard is a centralized structure
within vPC-GR which allows Airmen the ability to
manage their individual profiles, submit online
applications, review the status of those
applications, coordinate on applications
submitted to you for action, and create/run
individual reports. - This presentation provides the Human Resource
Distributed System Administrator (HR DSA) an
overview of the vPC-GR Dashboard concept,
identify functional roles, instruct on assigning
roles for their organization, and identify
potential points for assistance or referral for
customer service support. - Personnel Systems Managers (PSM) who are
designated as HR DSAs are key to ensuring this
structure is successful.

5vPC-GR Accounts
- Why have a vPC-GR account?
- vPC-GR online applications are a secure medium
to submit and route personnel transaction
requests from a customer or a call center
Customer Service Representative (CSR) to receive
and process the requested service. - In order to effect the requested action, the
customers privacy act information is necessary.
Without logging into the secure vPC-GR site, the
request for transactions could not take place - Conducting business behind a secure site
diminishes risk of broadcasting critical
identifying information.
6vPC-GR Accounts
- Ensures applications can be processed and
monitored - Required to protect privacy act information
- Mandated by Reserve Component leaders
- Enables member access from diverse locations
- Prepares members for Defense Integrated Military
Human Resource System (DIMHRS) - Prepares Airmen for future capabilities
- Enables application reporting capability
7Defining vPC-GR Dashboard Roles
8vPC-GR Dashboard
- Enables Commanders to delegate roles in
accordance with AFI 51-604, Appointment To and
Assumption of Command - Enables the HR DSA the ability manage
(Change/Correct/ Update) Wing Hierarchy within
vPC-GR Dashboard - Enables users to manage their individual
profiles, submit online applications, review the
status of those applications, coordinate on
applications submitted to you for action, and
create/run individual reports.
9Dashboard Roles
- Dashboard structure based upon Assigned Roles
- Roles identified by ARC commanders as functional
responsibilities ensure personnel management is
conducted throughout their organization - vPC-GR roles reflect the DIMHRS roles
-
- HR DSAs assigned by Headquarters System Support
(HQSS) - Dashboard roles assigned and managed by PSM (HR
DSA) within each organization - Assigned members can delegate some roles to
another member -
10Assigned vs. Delegation
- Assigned Role A primary administrative function
with a responsibility to approve/disapprove,
coordinate, or review personnel actions within an
specific organization - Role Administrators (HR DSA) assign roles under a
commanders authority - One or more roles or none may be assigned,
dependent upon a members duty position - Delegated Role An administrative function
transferred from a member in an assigned role to
another member - Assigned roles may delegated permanently or for a
designated period of time. (exception Commander
Support Staff (CSS) or MPF Management, as it is
expected that more than one member will be
assigned in that role.) - Delegated roles may not be re-delegated to
another member (example temporarily assigned
First Sgt will not be able to delegate it to
another vPC-GR account holder - Commanders Follow guidance in AFI 51-604
