The idea behind a Green Biorefinery is that all
crops and biomass resources are utilised as
feedstocks in stepwise treatments. Basically
with as low energy input as possibly by applying
biotechnological methods enzymes, fermentation,
separation, and purification for various
products. The concept produces a portfolio that
is capable of replacing fossil fuel refined

The project will demonstrate use of biofuels from
well to wheel. It demonstrates the hitherto
cheapest production of ethanol by using organic
material of which a large part is classified as
waste. It demonstrates flexible change to fuels,
and it has a large European potential. Therefore
it has extremely high relevance to the objectives
of the Specific Programme and the Work
