Assistant Division Commander Maneuver Ramp-up
Planning Guidance (Key Tasks)

• SUSTAIN new Staffs knowledge of the MDMP
• INTEGRATE and SYNCHRONIZE Division and MSC
  ramp-up plans to insure a coordinated effort that
  minimizes impact on OPTEMPO
• IMPROVE the Divisions war-fighting ability by
• Improving knowledge of I Corps SOPs
• Upgrading the Division TACSOP and developing
  knowledge of its use throughout the Division
• Developing Division PLANSOP and TOCSOP
• Improving knowledge and use of PHOENIX and
  TACLAN/C2PC systems for intelligence and
  operations common picture to Battalion level
• Train all personnel on Enemy OB, capabilities and
  doctrine
• Train all personnel on Division/Corps
  organization and capabilities
• INTEGRATE and SYNCHRONIZE Division operations by
  using Decision Support Templates (DST)
  execution matrixes to fight and sustain
• Use simulations to test operational and
  logistical plans, report formats and flow
• Conduct MAN/FS/CSS REHEARSALS at all levels

• IMPROVE WARFIGHTING SKILLS The Division
  Commander assembles, integrates, and focuses his
  subordinate Commanders and Division Staff
  together on battle command tasks
• TEAMBUILDING Integrate Commanders and Staff
  together into a cohesive team, able to plan,
  coordinate, develop, and synchronize their
  actions to support the Division Command Groups
  decisions throughout the MDMP
• KNOW THE COMMANDERS INTENT Improve Staff
  coordination, decision making, and C2 procedures
  to fully support the Command Groups decisions
• UNDERSTAND HOW TO FIGHT FULL SPECTRUM OPERATIONS
  Develop an appreciation of the range of Army
  operations, to include offensive, defensive,
  stability, and support operations. Gain an
  understanding on how to successfully integrate
  all combat multipliers, e.g. Information
