- Requires very little change in existing
technologies - Uses simple algorithm
- Allows people to remember (S,G) info
- Fits into an open niche

Our Proposal
- Represent an (S,G) pair as a host name with the
format ltGroup namegt.ltSource namegt.ltprovider's
domain namegt - Begin Source part with some delimiter such as
mcast mcast.example.com - Name Group part something relevant to content
audio, video, stocks, etc

- Represent both parts with one hostname
audio.mcast.example.com(192.168.10.10,
232.42.42.42) - Resolve IPS by parsing hostname for two parts,
then looking up the A record for each part Look
up mcast.example.com to find the Source Unicast
address and then look up audio.mcast.example.com
to find the Group Multicast address
