During her high school, American flutist Jessica Ashley Kahal went on tour to Washington DC, NYC, and Philadelphia with the school’s choir. She was in the Woman’s Jazz Chorus, called “Here Comes Treble”. As part of a special invitation, she performed at the Kennedy Center and was highly appreciated for her excellent skills. Getting the chance to perform at the Armstrong Theater was a dream come true for the young Jessica Kahal. She was the featured flutist and also a featured student conductor in the concert. Around a year after 9/11 terrorist attacks, Jessica performed with her high school choir in a candlelight memorial in the memory of those who lost their lives. She gave a solo flute performance on her favorite “Danny Boy” leaving everyone present in the school’s amphitheater emotional.
