Dr. Thomas Taylor is a man with an interesting history and extensive education. He is the kind of person that always strives to succeed. That is what prompted him to pursue a career in medicine. Dr. Taylor studied for many years before becoming a qualified surgeon. Though he is now retired, he built quite a reputation for himself over the course of his career.
Dr. Thomas Taylor has the drive to succeed in everything that he does in life, which is why he has enjoyed such a remarkable medical career. He spent much of his early career, in addition to completing his education, in England before moving to Houston, where he eventually became the Chief of Academic Surgery at the Baylor College of Medicine in 2001.
Living in Texas since 1993 has given Dr. Thomas V. Taylor many chances to fall in love with the local professional football teams. He enjoys watching the Dallas Cowboys and the Houston Texans. Some of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) teams that he watches are the Texas Longhorns, the Houston Cougars, the Texas A&M Aggies, and the Rice Owls.
British kids are much more likely to play cricket than baseball, but Dr. Thomas Taylor had a chance to enjoy both sports growing up. The two games are similar in their nature, but baseball is cricket’s “Americanized” version, although both of them have a common ancestor that was played in Europe.
Dr. Thomas Taylor has always been a fan of music, which is one of the reasons why he made the effort to develop his own singing voice. While living in the United States, he became a member of the Houston Choral Society and even performed with the Houston Symphony in their choral section. He still enjoys any opportunity that he has to flex his vocal cords.
Dr. Thomas Taylor was born in Preston in Lancashire, England. He spent his entire childhood, and the majority of his adult life, in England before moving to Houston, Texas. He studied medicine at the University of Edinburgh and completed his medical degree at the University of Manchester. He taught anatomy and medicine for several years and practiced surgery, then moved to the United States in 1993.
