I. IDENTIFICATION
  • 1. It is a group of organisms of the same kind
living in same place at the same time.
  • 2. It is considered as the largest ecosystem.

3
  • 3. The interaction between biotic and abiotic
    factors.
  • 4. The organism in the food chain that receives
the most energy from the sun.

4
  • 5. It is most productive aquatic biome.
  • 6. It is a gas that is one of the essential
    components of protein.

5
  • 7. It is a kind of bacteria that converts most
    of N2 into NO3 .
  • 8. It is an element present in all living things.

6
  • 9. It is the kind of earthquake that is the
    result of crustal movement.
  • 10. It is the strength of the earthquake.

7
  • II. MODIFIED TRUE OR FALSE (10 points)
  • On the first blank write T if the statement is
TRUE, then prove your answer. If not, change the
underlined word/s to make the statement correct,
then explain why. Write your explanation on the
    second blank.
  • 1. Mutualism exists between the butterfly and
    rose.

8
  • 2. Nocturnal animals are found in desert biome.
  • 3. Carbonation causes mechanical weathering.

9
  • 4. Metamorphic rock can be found found near the
    Mayon volcano.
  • 5. Intensity is the strength of the earthquake.

VII .Experimentation
  • The students in grade 6 conducted an
investigation on the sugar content of their
favorite food. In the experiment used 1 bottle of
Benedict's solution, assorted small pieces of
food such as cookies, crackers, bread, fruit,
several glass test tubes, 1 alcohol lamp and
tongs. They placed a piece of food in each test
tube and then poured 30 - 40 ml of Benedict's
solution over the food. They heated the test
tubes one at a time over the burner, using the
tongs to hold the test tubes. According to their
research Benedict's solution is blue. The
presence of sugar will turn the solution to orange
