Ultrasound Gel - Composition

• Water- EDTA (Versene is trade name)-
  Imidazolinyl Urea (Kemipur 100 is trade name)-
  Methyl Chloride Isothiazolynone (Acepur K is
  trade name)- Propylene Glycole- Carbopol C980-
  Sodium Hydroxide- Bleu Patente V 85 ( blue
  dye) - only the blue coloured version
• "Ultrasound gel clear" is made with the same
  compounds without the dye

Ultrasound Gel Antimicrobial Protectionin our
gels there are three compounds which provide
protection against contamination 1) Methyl
Chloride Isothiazolynone (Acepur K is trade
name)is used asanti-bacterial compound 2)
Imidazolinyl Urea (Kemipur 100 is trade name)is
used as anti-fungine compound 3) EDTA (Versene is
trade name) is used as calcium in-activator (and
bacteria of course grow "eating" calcium)

• used as a contact medium for REUSABLE
  electrodes( ECG clamp and chest suction
  electrodes)
• content of free charges guarantees ELECTRICAL
  conductivity( please notice the difference of
  the ECG gel to the Ultrasound gel !!)
• ECG gel should be quoted to all customers asking
  for our reusable clamp or chest suction
  electrodes
• ECG gel ( respectively ECG cream) should be
  offered to all clients using diagnostic ECG
  machines as these are our end users

Skin Preparation Paste

• Human skin is a developing organ...
• As a result of permanent development skin
  surface is covered with dead cells. Aside from
  that special glands produce grease.
• The paste contains some chemical cleaning
  components and small hard particles acting as an
  abrasive
• This abrasive helps to remove dead cells from
  the skin surface
• The chemical components help to remove grease
  from the skin
• EVERY should be recommended to use before any
  application of any electrode to the skin surface.
• It helps to get better contact and to reach
  lower impedance between the skin and the
  electrode.
