The Battle Axe(words)

• A weapon consisting wooden or metal pole affixed
  to a sharp metal blade. The blade was usually
  slightly curved. The battle axe could be used by
  warriors on foot or on horseback, though it was
  more powerful when used by a warrior on
  horseback.
